Wow-just saw that 2 1/2 months have gone by without a post! ACK! Between work and Facebook, this poor blog has suffered.
I've been back working since July and it's been go go go since then and kicked into high gear a few weeks ago due to our big national product giveaway on the 10th. Now, it's been a week of quiet as most everyone involved took time off to destress. Now onto the next batch of new products and projects...!
Andrew has been growing like a weed. All the stuff that fit him a few months ago are now small, and he's even pretty much skipped a shoe size. School has been great, he's counting and speaking some words in Spanish and I've started with some additional Polish words with him. He's a smart cookie! We've also nearly conquered potty training which has been a long time in the making.
On Thursday we took Andrew to see Walking With Dinosaurs at the hockey arena. It was INCREDIBLE! If you ever get a chance to see it, go. And buy the cheap tickets because you can see them from anywhere since they are enormous. Enjoy the pictures below!

Time flies when you're busy!
Nearly a month gone by! Work has been keeping me super busy! It's a very exciting time-we have a ton of great products that have launched, a ton that will launch the next fiscal quarter and we are inching closer to the biggest giveaway in natural products history!
If you are in the US, check out the products that I have openings in my focus groups for. Click the links and share with others. If anyone is interested, leave a comment with an e-mail address where you can be contacted and we'll go from there!
Grow Bone
Lovely Legs
Vitamin Code RAW Prenatal
Oceans Mom Prenatal DHA
Oceans 3 Healthy Hormones
Vitamin Code RAW Perfect Weight
FucoThin
Grow Bone is our big project right now-there will be a national giveaway on 10.10 at 10 am, but I am working with a few syndicated talk shows about possibly giving away to their studio audiences! There are a few tough cookies (mainly anything under Oprah's umbrella), but have a few good leads. Next week I have to work on the Today Show and the other morning programs. Exciting! And not at all nerve wracking since we are going to be "graded" on our work!
However, I am remembering that this time last week Andrew and I were watching Deb getting her hair wrapped while sipping her margarita and Andrew & I shared a mango slushy thing. Then we sadly had to rush off and take her to the airport. :(
We got to spend Wednesday through Saturday with Deb at the ILCA (lactation consultants) Conference in Orlando. It was a lot of fun AND Deb managed to do in a few days what I had been trying for nearly 2 1/2 years...get Andrew potty trained. He's now a Pooper Trooper thanks to Nana Deb. We're ever so grateful. He's pretty much day trained (except for naps, but we're getting there) and it's so exciting! His teachers will be so pleased when he returns back to school on the 25th.
Monday we will be celebrating Carlos' 39th birthday AND house hunting! Yay!

Summertime....
I'm officially back working from home, so now time is even more precious. Unfortunately, keeping up with the blog has suffered, but I can at least share some photos of some of what we've been doing these last few weeks.
We are also just waiting to find out if Andrew will need to have a tonsilectomy due to an extremely large tonsil. He's been on antibiotics and on Monday we should learn the verdict. I am also in a bit of a quandry as Andrew may need to have his cleft palate repaired after his recent plastic surgery appointment, but they want us to wait 6 mos and after he's had more speech therapy in school. I just don't know if it's worth the wait.

Great explorations, shows and oppressive heat
That's pretty much how the weeks since the school year ended for Andrew have been. We've been in a weather pattern that has dealt us oppressive heat and humidity for a few weeks-literally we had a stretch of mornings that I woke up to find at 8am it was nearly 90F with 80% humidity. Y-U-C-K!
Andrew was longing to get out, but it was just too much-especially for a child who didn't want to stay hydrated while running at maximum speed.
Thankfully, I remembered that we have a great indoor play space called Great Explorations that has a construction tree house, a play cafeteria, a play grocery store and pizza shop, etc.

Andrew loved being a Publix employee-buying and ringing up his own groceries as well as becoming "Dr. Andrew" the worlds funnniest vet. His treatment for any ailment-a hairdryer. Good hair can do wonders.
We've also had a ton of dance parties. I recently got the digital version of Ziggy Marley's new kids album called Family Time, as well as the recently released B is for Bob. It's been a rasta good time for Andrew and I, mon!

You'll note the middle photo above. On days that Andrew could go out to play, I kept him in the garage in the evenings and he performed "The Andrew Show" as he called it. Odd rhythmic dancing accompanied by screams and howls and a heck of a lot of sweating. Thankfully I cut a good portion of his hair off for the summer just before the humidity kicked in. He inherited my thick hair, and in the summer it can be quite a curse if it's long. It's like having a layer or two of insulation on your head.

How many weeks has it been??
A few! Well, it's been a little busy and now it's summer break as of Tuesday.
It's already off to a bang since we have a family with 3 kids the next house over and the twins are wild beyond belief. They've already broken Andrew's new, cool light up hula hoop (beyond repair. ugh.) and the license plate protector on the other neighbors motor cycle.
Since Tuesday afternoon.
It's now Thursday.
Thank God for wine.
But back to Tuesday and the last day of school.
Parents were invited for an end of year party. Unfortunately I'm married to Senor Perpetually Late, so we arrived in the midst of the 3 Pre-K classes singing "The Peanut Butter Song".
It was a nice morning. Once the song and "diploma" portion of the program was done, it was ice cream for everyone in each classroom. The kids then got to show us their favorite games, toys, etc., collected their gifts from the teachers and we were off. Andrew decorated some picture frames with stickers and markers and gave them (with a picture of himself from the beach) to each of his teachers.
Here are some photos from the rest of the day. I am so thankful for the massive amounts of progress the teachers and therapists helped Andrew make in such a short period of time.

She shoots...she scores!
This week my friend Donna took some photos of Andrew for an upcoming magazine piece he'll be in for my former company, and while we had her she took some elusive mother/son shots of Andrew and I...Here you go:
I have less than a handful of shots of myself with Andrew, so these are oh so precious to me!
And check out the treasure at the end of the rainbow....
I know, it's barely visible. But it does end on Andrew and Naughty Puppy.
